Gina Vanderheiden, DPT, ATC
With a dream to create an atmosphere where patients feel welcome and at ease, Gina Vanderheiden, DPT, ATC, started GinaV Physical Therapy in her home town of Papillion to keep that “small town” feeling alive.
Degrees in both physical therapy and athletic training uniquely equip Gina to handle medical ailments ranging from sports injuries, back and neck pain, and orthopedic care. Gina is also one of the few physical therapists in the metro area that is certified to perform Functional Dry Needling® (FDN) which is an innovative treatment focusing on certain trigger points in the body to relieve acute and chronic pain. FDN has been show to also play a role in accelerating an individual’s rehabilitation progress.
Gina leads by example through recognition that patient care is an ever evolving field requiring a commitment to lifelong learning. She continues her education and training to remain current on new methodologies and treatments that will benefit her patients.
Mark Vanderheiden, Co-Owner of GinaV Physical Therapy, is Gina’s husband and ensures the smooth operation of business. He oversees financials, marketing, advertising, and the maintenance of the clinic. Mark received his Bachelors in business management from Bellevue University in 2011. Mark proudly served 21 years in the Army National Guard, having retired in November 2017. He is active in the Papillion Community in a variety of roles such as being a long-time member of the American Legion and the Lions Club, Papillion Community Foundation Board Member, Papillion Jr. Titan Football Board member, and Papillion Jr. Titan football coach. In his free time, he loves to golf, travel, and race dirt sprint cars.
Mark and Gina are proud parents of Cole and Brynn and when they aren’t working with patients, they are out in the community supporting their children’s sporting events.
Noah Bradley, PTA
Noah Bradley, PTA, is a 2012 graduate of Clarkson College with EMT certification. He is certified in Functional Movement Taping to apply Kinesiology Tape which improves muscle function. He has also pursue continuing education to perform Cupping as a tool to further help his patients. Born and raised in the Omaha area, Noah is married with three children: Jonah, Cole, and Jocelyn. Having worked solely in the outpatient orthopedic setting as a therapist for his career, he thrives in the “newness” that each day brings with his patients. “I love the challenge of this profession along with the satisfaction of helping patients to reach all of their goals.”
Tara is the Office Manager at GinaV Physical Therapy. Having served our patients and team since November, 2016. Tara is an integral part of the patient experience as much of the behind-the-scenes aspects of our practice play a role in our ability to provide seemless care while also handling the more practical tasks of filing insurance claims and other documents required to ensure our patients can receive the care they need for as long as they need it.
Noah Schlange is a tech at GinaV currently studying Physical Education/Pre-Physical Therapy at the University of Omaha. Noah has been part of the GinaV team since May of 2016, and prior to that was a patient of Gina’s during his high school athletic career. Having the first-hand experience as a patient gave Noah the confidence to select a career in physical therapy and ultimately apply his education and training with our team. Noah is passionate about creating a welcoming and fun environment for our patients.
Haleigh Smith is a rehab technician for Gina V Physical Therapy and is a recent graduate of Iowa Western Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant and Health & Human Performance. Her experience at GinaV Physical Therapy will help her gain experience in physical therapy while she pursues a full-time position as a Physical Therapy Assistant. When she is not working, she enjoys exercise, watching movies, shopping, coaching softball, spending quality time with family and friends, and is currently planning her wedding.
Tatum is a Physical Therapy Tech at GinaV Physical Therapy. She is currently at student at Papillion LaVista South High School, graduating in 2019. Tatum has developed a firm foundation for pursuing her Physical Therapy degree after graduation.
Ashley grew up in Omaha, NE. She graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelors degree in nutrition science and a minor in psychology. Ashley then went to Nebraska Methodist College in Omaha to earn an associates degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
